Two color fade with suede nail polish. Base: Hailee (green) by JulepTop: Nora (purple) by Julep Playing color gradation with matte finish polishes courtesy of the November Julep Maven shipment.  To achieve a smooth finish, apply a thick coat of the base color. I recommend using the lighter color as the bottom layer. Let dry. With a light hand, paint the darker color on top of the base, pulling the brush from near the middle of the nail bed towards the tip.  Here’s a tip! Finish with a matte top coat. Regular or glossy top coats will ruin the suede effect. These polishes chip quickly and hot water seems to strip the sandy texture, leaving a light shimmer…which defeats the whole point of a suede manicure.  Sign up for Julep Maven here View Larger
